Why a horse sanctuary?

As a little girl, Skylar found an immediate connection with the horses that went so much deeper than just going to riding lessons once a week. If there was a way to get involved from cleaning stalls to holding a horse for the vet - she was right there learning. Now, 20 years later, Skylar is fulfilling a lifelong dream of helping the very equines who have helped her grow and mature. HOMH is recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 organization and is now providing a safe space for those who are destined for a tragic end and giving them the second chance they so desperately deserve.

HOMH Mission

We are committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of equines, aiming to provide our animals with a safe and loving environment. Our goal is to rescue and rehome abused, neglected, and abandoned equines.

TRANSFORM

Dropped off at an auction with no regard for who bids on them. We play such a small role in the big picture, but those who we take in are loved with every ounce of energy we have and given the best chance to enjoy the rest of their lives.
